Costa Blanca Campsites Thrive During Easter, Approaching Full Capacity

During Easter, campsites in the province of Alicante experienced a highly positive period, nearing full capacity. The influx of domestic tourists has driven the occupancy of these establishments up to 90%, according to data provided by the Provincial Association of Campsites of Alicante.

The association explains that the number of international tourists was lower as most of these visitors enjoyed their stay before the festive weekend in Spain. Despite this, campsites achieved "very positive" figures due to a "significant" presence of domestic tourists.

The autonomous communities leading the bookings during these days were Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid, the Basque Country, and the Valencian Community, with the latter being the region with the highest presence. Thanks to the increase in domestic tourists, campsites maintained stable occupancy, with minimal variations in occupancy levels throughout the festive days.

"We can confirm that the presence of domestic tourists has been very significant and has positively contributed to maintaining an excellent level of occupancy during Easter," stated Patrick Le Metayer, Vice President of the Provincial Association of Campsites of Alicante.

The campsites managed to overcome the adverse weather conditions during some days of Easter and "have demonstrated that they remain a very attractive destination for those who value the offerings of our establishments," expressed the association's vice president, highlighting the wide variety "of services available at our campsites."
