There is great anticipation for the Copa del Rey semi-final draw, which takes place at 1 PM this Wednesday, featuring none other than Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético, and Real Sociedad in the pot at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas. The presence of these four teams ensures a high-stakes clash in the penultimate round, whether it be a classic, a Madrid derby, or a meeting between the Catalans and the Colchoneros.

The draw is straightforward, without restrictions, and for the first time, it will be played over two legs, as up to the quarter-finals, it was a single match. The semi-final dates are February 26 and April 2, while the grand final will be held at La Cartuja Stadium in Seville on April 26.

Cholo Simeone's team was the first to qualify for the semi-finals after thrashing Getafe 5-0 in a match where Giuliano Simeone shone with a brace. The Rojiblancos left no chance for a weakened Pepe Bordalás' Azulón team, which arrived at the Metropolitano with significant absences.

Real Madrid secured their place last Wednesday after overcoming Leganés 3-2 in Butarque with a goal from academy player Gonzalo in the last minute of added time.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad defeated Osasuna 2-0 at Anoeta, a match marked by Catena's expulsion in the 35th minute, although when the Rojillos were reduced to ten men, the score was already 2-0 in favour of Imanol Alguacil's Donostia side.

The last team to seal their place in the semi-finals was Hansi Flick's side, who once again triumphed over Valencia, as they did in LaLiga, this time with Mestalla as the witness. The Blaugranas, almost effortlessly, handed a 5-0 defeat to the Valencian team.

It is noteworthy that Real Sociedad and Atlético are repeating their presence in the Copa semi-finals, although last season neither team managed to reach the final. Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona, absent at this stage in the last edition, are once again among the top favourites.
