BMW has chosen the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2025, on the shores of Lake Como, to unveil an exclusive concept car: the BMW Concept Speedtop.
This prototype, which reinterprets the Touring sports car with a unique combination of elegance and proportions, is not just a design exercise but will materialize in a limited series of only 70 units for collectors.
Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design, highlighted the uniqueness of its profile, stating, "A true BMW conveys dynamism and elegance even when it's not moving. And this is also the case with our new concept car. The BMW Concept Speedtop is characterized, first and foremost, by its profile. It is very unique in the automotive industry. In this way, we have created a before and after for our entire range of vehicles, especially for the Touring models." This new Concept Speedtop shares its striking design language with the previously successful BMW Skytop.
The BMW Concept Speedtop dazzles with a unique profile. Its front features a pronounced "V" shape, with a shark nose, sleek headlights, and the iconic illuminated kidney grille, giving it an unmistakable presence. The fluid central line running across the hood, roof, and rear spoiler enhances its Touring dynamism. A striking color gradient on the roof, transitioning from "Floating Sunstone Maroon" to "Floating Sundown Silver," further accentuates its athletic forms, highlighted by its broad shoulders and exclusive 14-spoke two-tone wheels.

The interior is an ode to luxury craftsmanship. Designed for "weekend getaways for two," the cabin is adorned with high-quality materials and traditional brogue-style details that accentuate the leather surfaces. The stylistic connection between the exterior and interior is achieved with a two-tone concept, where the "Floating Sunstone Maroon" brown tone of the exterior paint is carried into the interior, harmonizing with the light "Moonstone White" of the seats. The trunk, also lined in leather and divided into two sections, features special lighting and offers space for several days' worth of luggage, including a custom weekend bag.

The creation of this concept is the result of the expertise of the BMW plant workshop in Dingolfing, in collaboration with the renowned Italian manufacturer Schedoni, known for its exclusive high-quality leather goods for the automotive sector. In fact, the Concept Speedtop includes two storage areas behind the seats designed for two custom Schedoni bags, matching the vehicle's design.

But the BMW Concept Speedtop impresses not only with its design; it also does so with its performance. Under its hood, it is equipped with the most powerful V8 engine that BMW currently offers, ensuring performance that matches its exclusivity.
Bernd Körber, Senior Vice President of BMW Brand and Product Management, confirmed the production: "Last year, the presentation of the BMW Concept Skytop at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, on Lake Como, generated great excitement among automotive connoisseurs and enthusiasts. This led to a strictly limited production of 50 units. Thanks to this positive response, this year we have decided to also offer the BMW Concept Speedtop in a limited production series of 70 units. This extraordinary vehicle is now available for orders. We are pleased to offer collectors and enthusiasts another exclusive model."
