The commerce of Alicante takes over the street of mushrooms: activities, workshops, and discounts

The weekend arrives in Alicante with one of the most anticipated events of autumn. On Saturday, October 5th, the 16th edition of 'Botigues al carrer' is celebrated on San Francisco street. Known as the street of mushrooms, it will be the epicenter of an event that, as every year, will bring counters to the public road to bring commerce closer to citizens.

For those who come to know the shops in this emblematic area, a day full of activities, workshops, and music is prepared. Additionally, from 11 AM to 9 PM, more than 25 shops will offer discounts and special promotions.

The program will take place from 11 AM to 9 PM and will include various activities, musical ambiance, photocall, two workshops, children's attractions, and family performances at 1 PM and 5:30 PM. The show area will be located in front of Sindic de Greugues on Pascual Blasco street.

Throughout the day without interruption, you can enjoy an attractive and varied offer from shops with proposals for visitors to enjoy this 'open-air shopping center' and it is expected to surpass the excellent attendance of previous editions.

The entire street will be decorated this Saturday to celebrate a day of coexistence between shops and citizens who will find promotions and special discounts as an incentive, as well as seasonal novelties in clothing, bags, jewelry, children's fashion, sunglasses, footwear for children and adults, stationery items, all kinds of accessories, hairdressing and aesthetics, wines, special infusions with promotions within hospitality.

This leisure and shopping day aims to make known all the establishments in the traditional center area known as 'street of mushrooms', attract new customers, increase public attendance and sales.

The Department of Commerce of the Alicante City Council and the associations 'Mas Que Centro' and 'Corazón de Alicante' organize this new commercial dynamization day. The councilor Lidia López presented the planned program this morning and encouraged «Alicante residents to join and participate in the celebration that is already well established in the city in its sixteenth edition. It was one of the first initiatives promoted in the city to support and boost its commerce when it was pedestrianized and themed with mushrooms. Today its celebration is more important. This area has become one of the busiest streets in the city, an example we are sure will be a success».

The secretary of the 'Más que Centro' Merchants Association, Mariam Vargas highlighted that «it is a festive day where we have a great time as merchants and all those who come to shop and visit us. We look forward to seeing everyone on this day and we will have many discounts for customers. It's been 16 years and it has always been a success; people know it and attend».
