The incident took place on Lola Flores Street, in the Las Rejas neighbourhood, near Barajas Airport, around noon on Sunday. Two compatriots, supporters of rival Colombian football teams, began arguing over a match, which escalated to one stabbing the other in the neck, causing severe bleeding.

Paramedics from Samur-Civil Protection arrived at the scene by ambulance, but were unable to save the victim, confirming his death due to severe injuries, as stated by a spokesperson from Madrid Emergencies to Europa Press.

Officers from the Scientific Police and the Homicide Group V quickly arrived at the scene. They have taken charge of the investigation and are searching for the perpetrator, who is not linked to youth gangs or organised groups. After the forensic judge authorised the removal of the body, it was sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Valdebebas for an autopsy.

The incident occurred just metres away from a brawl on November 5th, where a dozen youths clashed with knives. Six youths, including a minor, were arrested by the National Police, and another was seriously injured. The conflict originated from disputes among residents of a squatted former hotel.
