The legal battle between Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera, popularly known as Colate, and Paulina Rubio over their son's custody continues to intensify. The latest development is a judge's order to revoke the minor's passport, preventing him from leaving the United States. Colate himself disclosed this during a statement at a charity gala for the Soñar Despierto Foundation, which supports foster children.
According to his account, on March 11, his 53rd birthday, he picked up his son from school half an hour earlier than usual to celebrate together. This action led Paulina Rubio to file an expedited lawsuit against him, claiming he "might abduct the minor to take him from Miami without her consent." Consequently, the judge decided to revoke the child's passport, meaning he cannot currently travel to Spain to visit his paternal family. "My son would love to be here with his grandmother on her birthday this Thursday. He could have been here, but he isn't," Colate explained, describing the situation as "incomprehensible." "He is my son, and despite these incomprehensible circumstances, I am always there, always. And I will always be there, of course," he concluded.
The conflict between the parents over their 14-year-old son has been ongoing for years, with numerous court encounters. Despite the challenges, Colate continues with his life, and last January, ¡Hola! magazine published the first images of Samantha Vallejo-Nágera's brother with Alejandra Conde, daughter of Mario Conde, confirming their relationship.
