The clumsiness of a dealer during a drug exchange in Elche has landed him in jail. The incident occurred when a patrol of the Local Police was conducting surveillance checks around the Plaza de San Agatángelo. One of the police officers witnessed an exchange between a car driver and another individual, according to the Elche City Council.
The officer observed how one of the suspects handed money to the other in exchange for a small package, immediately suspecting it was a drug deal. In response, the patrol approached the individuals and confirmed that the item exchanged was hashish. Additionally, the buyer admitted to purchasing it from the car driver.
Meanwhile, the seller denied the allegations despite carrying a large amount of small-denomination bills hidden inside the car, where they also found an aluminum bag with several pieces of cut hashish. Given the circumstances, the police proceeded to arrest the car driver for an alleged drug trafficking offense.
