Closure of Elche's Indoor Municipal Pool Following Ceiling Collapse

The City Council of Elche has decided to temporarily suspend the use of the pool at the Esperanza Lag pavilion following the detachment of a ceiling panel on Saturday afternoon.

Consequently, all scheduled activities at this municipal facility are suspended until the ceiling of the pool is repaired and inspected.

To expedite the repair work, the council has commissioned a company to oversee the installation, as well as to repair and certify its safety for conducting sports activities in the pool.

The most important thing, they point out, is to "ensure the safety of users in municipal facilities."
