Claudia Aroca Mira: "Every Foguerer Can Celebrate the Hogueras in Their Own Way"

Claudia Aroca Mira has been a foguerer since birth. This Alicante native has spent 25 years in her foguera, La Florida. "I come from a very festive family that has allowed me to enjoy all the roles our festival offers," Les Fogueres de Sant Joan.

This year, 2025, she embarks on a new experience: candidate for bellea del foc of Alicante. She adds this role to others she has held, such as 'mini bellea' and 'mini musa', as well as dame d'honor, bellea, and children's godmother, the same as an adult.

Moreover, this Alicante native is "closely linked" to other aspects of the city's official festivities, such as the artistic side. She also participates in the foguera La Florida, collaborating in the artistic contest, the ninot parade and the proclamations of its representatives.

With all this experience behind her, Claudia Aroca Mira confirms that the Hogueras of Alicante are "a festival enjoyed all year round," which ends and starts again with the cremà. She also acknowledges that Les Fogueres "offer an environment that every foguerer can explore in their own way, whether it's the artistic side, the attire, meeting people, the gastronomy, the music, or the fireworks, there will always be something that catches your attention."

And not only that, but anecdotes accumulate in the festive realm, as is her case. This candidate for bellea del foc recalls the plantà from a few years ago, when "we joked about how much my mother resembled a ninot of a woman making a paella."

The resemblance was so striking that the artist hung a sign with a ñora that said "'The president's lady!'" The disappointment came during the nit de la cremà, as the committee could not save the ninot. However, the firefighter noticed the similarity and directed the hose towards the protagonist: "He didn't hesitate to soak my mother completely."
