The smoke has returned to the neighborhoods and streets of Alicante. The pyrotechnic calendar of the 'Pòlvora tot l'any' cycle has ignited its fuse with an eye on the Luceros mascletàs. From September to June, the districts will mark the lead-up to the official contest of the Alicante Bonfires, as happened this Sunday near Rico Pérez.

It was on Foguerer José Romeu Zarandieta street where many barraquers and foguerers gathered to enjoy the first mascletà of this calendar. To create a festive atmosphere, the sector three commissions organized a popular breakfast, which was also attended by Hércules players and technicians.

Thus, the Alicante Bonfires also celebrate the victory of the blanquiazul club, with a two-nil against Real Murcia last Saturday at the temple. Congratulations were received by Hércules president Carlos Parodi from Federació president David Olivares. Alongside the festive the belleas del foc, who return to step on the field after the honor kick. Now, with a shout: "Senyor pirotècnic, pot començar la mascletà!".

Simultaneously with the third warning, with which the Pirotecnia Valenciana from Llanera de Ranes -awarded for the best pyrotechnic show last Friday during Alicante's first pyrotechnics gala- kicked off the first mascletà of the 'Pòlvora tot l'any' cycle of the Bonfires. A string of firecrackers and start of aerials.

Among the first transitions, a total of four beginnings in the air, whistles and roncadoras exploded, preceded by a new artifact that surprised the city, the whistle. With this, Valencians wanted to pay homage to 'la terreta' and launched blue smoke shells to honor the Bonfires, Alicante city, and Hércules.

After that, a finish in the skies continued with the first retentions that made Rico Pérez's surroundings vibrate. All of them 'in crescendo' to the sound of thunder falling on land, accompanied by aerial touches. A classic mascletà body that increased in intensity until reaching an earthquake at two heights. The first fuse started at the lower part to culminate the desire for gunpowder with the upper line.

Amid jumps and applause, the mascletà continued with a digital aerial finale in five positions that, like all firing, went from less to more intensity, increasing its thunder caliber and power. With hands raised high by the audience, Valenciana marked the climax with a final hermetic blow, announcing the countdown to Bonfire days.
