The Civil Guard and the National Police have dismantled a major criminal network dedicated to synthetic drug trafficking in a joint operation. The three detainees, Polish nationals, were caught with 203 kilograms of ecstasy pills and ketamine in the back of the van they were traveling in. This discovery led to further operations, resulting in the closure of a clandestine laboratory in Guardamar del Segura.

The investigation, conducted under the Leisure Zone Security Plan, began when the group, based in the Vega Baja area, raised suspicions among officers due to their lifestyle, according to sources from the investigation. As it progressed, a patrol from the Guardamar del Segura post detected a large-capacity van that attempted to evade them upon noticing the officers' presence.

When stopped, the agents attempted to inspect the interior, but the occupants resisted, claiming it had a special electric opening system that prevented access to the cargo area. Despite the challenges, the officers managed to open the vehicle, discovering a complex electronic locking system designed to prevent easy access to the rear.

Once inside, the agents were surprised to find 40 bags of MDMA pills, ketamine, and other drugs ready for distribution. In total, 334 doses weighing 203 kilograms.

Subsequently, the operation focused on the suspects' residence, where agents discovered a clandestine laboratory. The operation led to the seizure of €16,265 in cash, industrial machinery for drug production, precision scales, vacuum sealers, and various relevant documents.

Finally, the detainees, three Polish men aged 33, 37, and 40, charged with alleged crimes of belonging to a criminal group, drug trafficking, and money laundering, have been brought before the Court No. 3 of Torrevieja, which has ordered their detention without bail.

The operation was carried out by officers from the Guardamar del Segura Main Post, the Organized Crime and Anti-Drug Team (EDOA) of the Alicante Command, and the Drug and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO) of the National Police of Murcia. The operation also had the support of the Canine Service, which participated in the property search.
