The professional association of the Civil Guard's non-commissioned officers, ASESGC, has filed a complaint against PSOE member Leire Díez, accusing her of crimes such as influence peddling, bribery, and obstruction of justice for allegedly seeking compromising information against Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Balas of the Central Operational Unit (UCO).

The complaint, filed with the Madrid investigative courts and accessed by Europa Press, also targets other individuals who participated in the meeting with Leire Díez, according to audios published by 'El Confidencial': businessmen Javier Pérez Dolset and Alejandro Hamlyn, as well as lawyer Jacobo Teijelo.

ASESGC claims that the audios reveal Leire Díez, who held positions of responsibility in public companies like Correos, had a "clear objective" to obtain compromising information against Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Balas, allegedly "acting on behalf of PSOE officials."

This professional association recalls that Leire Díez made these arrangements with the promise that, in exchange for this information, the businessmen would receive certain benefits in their criminal proceedings.

Thus, ASESGC requests that the accused be questioned, among other measures, such as instructing the Civil Guard's Criminalistics Service to analyze the WhatsApp audio provided with the complaint, to "verify its integrity and ensure there are no cuts or additions," as well as to reliably identify the voices.

The complaint further adds that personal data of Leire Díez and Javier Pérez Dolset should be consulted through the Judicial Neutral Point for their acquisition or, failing that, the General Directorate of the Civil Guard should be instructed for this purpose.

ASESGC has maintained that the complaint aims to halt the "attempt to undermine the independence and credibility of the Civil Guard," as well as the professionalism of all its members, in this case, the UCO, the unit investigating the 'Koldo case' or the wife and brother of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.
