Civil Guard Arrests Nightclub Manager in Alicante Municipality During Anti-Drug Raid

Strike by the Civil Guard against small-scale drug trafficking and consumption in leisure venues in Torrevieja. Officers conducted raids in three establishments and dismantled a cocaine sales point located in one of them, arresting the manager, according to the Armed Institute.

The events occurred in the early hours of January 10, when officers from the Main Post of the Civil Guard in Torrevieja carried out an operation that included the simultaneous inspection of three nightlife venues in the town centre.

The swift and unexpected intervention yielded significant results in one of the inspected venues, according to the Corps. During the operation, a cocaine packet was seized from a customer on the establishment's terrace.

Subsequently, the venue's manager was arrested after being found with a total of 15 doses of cocaine hidden in her underwear, ready for sale, along with €549.56, allegedly generated from the sale of these substances. The detainee, charged with a suspected crime against public health for drug trafficking, is 31 years old and has a criminal record for other offences.

In the other two inspected venues, various actions led to the identification of 10 administrative offences related to the possession of cocaine, hashish, and marijuana among customers, and another 4 for possession of weapons or items that could be used as such.

Meanwhile, the officers have reported the administrative offences to the Government Subdelegation in Alicante. The detainee was brought before the Guard Court of the Judicial District of Torrevieja, being released with precautionary measures.
