Citroën has completely revamped its range of C-segment saloons, making two of the models manufactured in Spain, the C4 and C4X, more elegant and technologically advanced. These models will arrive at the brand's dealerships this month.

Both models gain maturity and character while relying on their historical strengths, such as comfort and onboard space. The front has been redesigned to incorporate the new logo and brand identity. The rear of the C4 has also evolved to give it greater elegance, while the C4 X retains its already very attractive fastback style (four-door family).

At the rear of the new Citroën C4, simplicity and clarity have become the keywords of the new style, eliminating all superfluous complexity to leave only the essentials. The rear lights, key elements of this ensemble, are designed to match the visual impact of the front while visually widening the rear of the vehicle and reinforcing its road presence.

The C4 X has not required significant changes at the rear, but the boot lid, with its forward-leaning vertical section, accentuates the car's dynamism.

On the side, the new 18-inch AMBER wheels with diamond finish enhance aesthetics and functionality. Their aerodynamic design is not only pleasing to the eye but also helps improve fuel consumption. The side protectors have been redesigned to offer a more fluid appearance.

Two new colours have been added to the range. The luminous, elegant, and energetic Manhattan Green, and the sober and modern Mercury Grey, will be available alongside the recently launched Eclipse Blue, showing great depth, and the Elixir Red, Okenite White, and Pearl Nera Black (pearl). Additionally, the two-tone option with a black roof remains available.

This design change is accompanied by greater onboard comfort, with the adoption of new redesigned Citroën Advanced Comfort seats and a new 7-inch digital instrument panel that complements the 10-inch touchscreen. These features are complemented by Citroën Advanced Comfort suspension, generous space in all seats, and nearly 20 driver assistance technologies.

This change in image is accompanied by a new range of engines that favour electrification, allowing for reduced CO2 emissions. Alongside the already known electric versions of 100 and 115 kW, customers can now choose between the new Hybrid 100 and 136 models. Additionally, depending on the markets, a version with the 1.2-litre turbo 130 EAT8 engine will be available, offering 130 hp and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Citroën introduces two different power levels, with the Hybrid 136 in the new C4 and C4X and the Hybrid 100 in the new C4.

The electric models of 110 kW and 115 kW offer between 355 km and 415 km of range in the C4 and between 360 km and 425 km in the C4X. Rapid recharging on long journeys is essential, and the new ë-C4 and ë-C4X meet this need with the option to use 100 kW fast chargers. The vehicle recovers about 10 kilometres of range per minute and can recover 80% of its charge in less than 30 minutes.

The new electric C4 models also feature V2L technology, or Vehicle-to-Load, which allows an electric vehicle to supply electricity to external devices, transforming the car into a mobile and flexible power source.
