Children Under 15 in Elche to Travel Free on Buses from July 1st

Children under the age of 15 in Elche will be able to travel for free on urban buses starting this Tuesday, July 1st, until December 31st. This initiative is part of the discounts applied to public transport fares and passes during the same period.

This measure will benefit 9,336 children under 15 in the municipality. However, to qualify for free travel, users must have the municipal Mobility Card, which can be requested through the City Council's electronic headquarters or at any OMAC office.

For children under 15 who are not registered in Elche and apply for this free travel, a provisional card will be issued, expiring at the end of the subsidy period.

In addition to free travel, from July 1st, users aged between 15 and 26 will receive a 50% subsidy on the Bus Lliure, while other passengers will enjoy a 40% discount on various passes during the same period.

With the new fare application, the Ordinary 10-trip pass will cost 5.05 euros; the Large Family 10-trip pass will be priced at 3.85 euros; the Monthly pass at 16.30 euros, and the Bus Lliure for those over 15 and under 26 will cost 10 euros per quarter.
