Over 8,200 Students in the Province Face Their Academic Future Next Week with University Entrance Exams

Just a few tenths of a point can make a world of difference for students taking the university entrance exams. Those aspiring to enter university next year must surpass the cut-off mark for each degree programme. Reaching or failing to reach this mark will determine their academic future.

Next Tuesday marks the start of the university entrance exams, with over 8,200 students in Alicante province participating. The three intense days of exams will be followed by a waiting period to learn their final grades, which could be their ticket to the desired degree.

For those wishing to study at a public university in Alicante, there are nearly a hundred degree options available: 58 at the University of Alicante and 39 at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. In both universities, the Medicine degree stands out with the highest cut-off marks: 13.278 at UA and 13.264 at UMH.

Medicine Leads the Way

Health-related degrees generally have the highest cut-off marks. At UA, Nursing requires a 12.392 (the fourth highest), and Biomedical Engineering requires a 12.275 (seventh place). Meanwhile, at UMH, Pharmacy (11.530), Physiotherapy (11.503), and Psychology (10.854) rank from third to fifth.
