The passenger transport sector is experiencing another day of strike action this Friday, the second in a row. Unions will resume action on December 5 and 6 before calling for an indefinite strike starting December 23 if the labour dispute is not resolved.
Drivers continue to demand reduced retirement age coefficients and have gone on strike this Thursday and Friday, although it has had less impact than the last one on October 28 due to disillusionment with some union formations and the withdrawal of UGT from the strike.
Thus, from the company that holds the bus service concession in the city of Alicante, Vectalia, they report that the minimum services for this Thursday and Friday will halve the number of buses operating in Alicante. It is expected that 44% of buses will run on average this Friday, increasing to 55% during peak hours from 6 to 9 and from 17 to 19 hours.
Thus, the strike has forced changes to the schedules of various bus lines . The most frequented, the interurban ones, have altered the schedules of the last departures. Thus, the first departure of line 21, which connects Alicante-El Campello, was at 6:30 a.m. from the capital and at 7:35 a.m. from the coastal town, while the last departure will be from Alicante at 9:30 p.m. and El Campello at 9:30 p.m., with a 60-minute interval.

These will make their last departure at 9:48 p.m. from Alicante and at 9:15 p.m. from San Vicente. Another of the most affected lines will be the airport line. The C-6 bus will also run every 30 minutes, with the last departure from Alicante at 9:10 p.m. and from the terminal at 9:55 p.m. However, the airport's night service will maintain its usual schedule.
Additionally, all buses connecting the municipalities of l'Alacantí and the stops will also modify their times due to minimum services, with arrivals available for consultation on the Vectalia website.
