Change in Fempa Presidency

The Board of Directors of the Metal Entrepreneurs Federation of the Province of Alicante (Fempa) has approved the appointment of José Julián Farell as the new president, replacing Jorge Ibáñez, who stepped down "for health reasons," according to a statement from the association. The Fempa board, meeting this Wednesday in an extraordinary session, acknowledged the change in accordance with its statutes. The transition, as indicated by the same sources, "occurred automatically within a framework of institutional continuity" until the end of the current term.

The Board of Directors expressed gratitude to Jorge Ibáñez for his "dedication and commitment during his tenure at the helm of the Federation," wishing him "a speedy recovery." Meanwhile, José Julián Farell embraced this new challenge "with the aim of continuing to promote the development of the metal sector in the province, as well as strengthening collaboration between entrepreneurs and institutions."

José Julián Farell, owner and manager of Suministros Industriales Farell, a prestigious and leading industrial supply company in the province of Alicante for over 80 years, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and committed to working as a team to face future challenges: "It is an honour to take on this role at a crucial time for our Federation. I am determined to continue driving initiatives that benefit our members and the sector in general," he stated.

The new president has a vast experience in the sector and has been an active part of Fempa for many years, "holding key roles that have allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of the needs and expectations of Alicante's metal entrepreneurs."
