The Cervantes Theatre in Petrer begins the year on a positive note. The theatre has reviewed its accounts for the last fiscal year, 2024, and celebrates a record number of attendees. A total of 16,755 people visited its seats, marking a 38% increase compared to 2023, with an average of 310 attendees per show, among the 54 events scheduled.

These figures represent a "satisfaction" for Petrer's cultural scene, reflecting an "important growth," as highlighted by Councillor Fernando Portillo. The Town Hall, he assures, is working to ensure that the Cervantes Theatre offers a "stable, diverse, and attractive programme in line with the budget we have."

Furthermore, the councillor expressed gratitude for the audience's loyalty, for whom new subscriptions have been launched to enjoy the programme from January to April at the Cervantes Theatre in Petrer. There are three subscription options - 8M subscription, comedy subscription, and magic subscription - offering up to 20% discount on tickets.

The new programme at the Cervantes Theatre in Petrer will commence on Sunday, 26th January, featuring around twenty shows from various disciplines, including concerts, children's shows, monologues, magic cycles, and drama, among others.

The Department of Culture and Heritage also highlights the organisation of 217 cultural activities during 2024, including both in-house programming and collaborations with local groups, associations, and artists. "We have a very vibrant cultural fabric to which, moreover, the Town Hall provides all possible facilities to support, enhance, and promote culture in our city," explained Portillo.
