The president of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Baño, and the president of the Family Business Association of the province of Alicante, Maite Antón, chaired the meeting of the Centenary Companies Club held this Wednesday at the facilities of Confectionary Holding, following a visit to the facilities of Turrones 1880 'El Lobo'.

The meeting began with a tour of Confectionary Holding's facilities, after which the members held a meeting to officially welcome the new members who have joined the club: Aceitunas Torremar from Torrevieja; Azaconsa from Novelda; Bontre from Elche; Gibeller from Sant Joan; Hijos de Manuel Picó from Xixona; and Ribes-Oli from Beniardà. With these additions, there are now 35 companies in this prestigious club. During the meeting, the development of the sixth edition of the Centenary Companies Gala to be held on June 5 at the Alicante Main Theatre was also outlined.

During his speech, Baño thanked all attendees for their presence and stated that with the addition of new members, the club now has 40 members. He continued by saying, "From the Chamber and AEFA, we want to continue giving visibility to these types of companies, examples of resilience, innovation, and commitment to our province, with the aim of continuing to boost the Alicante business fabric through the stories of your success." "Your legacy is a great contribution to the economy of our territory, and an example of this is Turrones 1880 'El Lobo'," concluded the president.

For her part, Maite Antón declared: "It is a pride for AEFA to have been a promoter alongside the Chamber of this Centenary Companies Club, a space that gives visibility and recognizes the work of companies that, with their effort and dedication, have marked the economic history of our province and are mostly family businesses."

"We celebrate the incorporation of new members with whom our club grows and strengthens. These companies are not only a benchmark of resilience and commitment but also of innovation and the ability to adapt to new times, preserving their values and legacy. At AEFA, we will continue to support initiatives like this, which allow us to pay tribute to great entrepreneurs and companies, and we will continue to promote the continuity and strengthening of the family business fabric in Alicante."
