'Breaking myths and celebrating authenticity' is the title of the event to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, June 18, at 09:30 am, at the La Valona building on the Elche campus of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH).

The event is organized by the Divergent Minds Association, an entity formed by autistic individuals, families, and professionals committed to the comprehensive care of neurodivergent people. The UMH and the Adecco Foundation, among other entities, collaborate in this event. Admission is free, limited to the capacity of the room.

This day aims to create a space for meeting and reflection where the voices of autistic people take center stage, advocating for the right to be oneself without concealing, camouflaging, or apologizing for their way of being in the world, as explained by the university in Elche.

The program includes presentations by autistic content creators recognized on social media such as @eldiarioddeCJ, @elvuelodedany, and @paupautista, who are current references for their informative work and for sharing their experiences. Professionals such as neuropediatrician Ángela Sempere Pérez, autistic individuals, and representatives from associations like Futuroautista and Mimeandcalm will also participate.
