Cayetano Rivera was arrested in the early hours of Monday, June 30, after allegedly assaulting several police officers following an altercation at a well-known fast-food chain in Madrid. According to 'Y ahora Sonsoles', citing the police report, Carmina Ordóñez's son was reportedly "intoxicated" at the time of the incident.
Apparently, after a confrontation with several police officers, during which they allegedly "came to blows," the bullfighter was handcuffed and taken to the central district police station in Madrid, where he spent the night before being released at seven in the morning.
"I am with my lawyers because there is a medical report of injuries due to their excessive actions against me. They overstepped, their actions were disproportionate, at no point did I resist. I am with my lawyers, there is a medical report of injuries, we will request the footage," Cayetano Rivera stated in a conversation with Antena 3's program.
Employees of the fast-food restaurant claimed that Cayetano Rivera lost his temper after being told he needed to take a ticket to be served. The bullfighter, who was accompanied by others, placed an order, and the employee informed him that he needed to take a ticket, which led to "aggressive behavior." The workers called the police, resulting in an altercation. "There was a man handcuffed on the ground," expressed some of the neighbors who witnessed the incident.
