Man Caught Burglarizing Elche Country House and Assaults Two Officers During Escape Attempt

The Local Police of Elche have arrested a man in the Puçol district who attempted to burglarize a house. The man was caught inside and, in an effort to flee, even assaulted the officers, putting up significant resistance during his escape.

According to a statement from the security force, the incident occurred on November 22nd, when a Puçol resident reported that the alarm of a nearby property had been triggered, and it appeared that someone was inside.

Several officers arrived at the scene and found the man inside the house, who ran in an attempt to escape. The officers managed to catch him despite the resistance he put up, even assaulting them.

The owner admitted to the officers that he had installed an alarm system weeks earlier after experiencing a theft of construction materials, an incident he never reported.

As a result of the events, the 43-year-old man was arrested for attempted burglary and assaulting law enforcement officers.
