Twenty years ago, the Spyder 125, a chopper that surprised the industry with its dimensions and unique telescopic fork, hit the market. This marked the birth of Leonart Motors, a project by a family from Mataró (Barcelona), aiming to create motorcycles with their own identity and groundbreaking design, yet also accessible thanks to their low-displacement engines.

Over two decades, Leonart has not only survived in a challenging market dominated by major brands but has also built a reputation by creating iconic models, reaffirming its commitment to "authenticity, innovation, and international growth," as the brand explains.

Following the Spyder, models like the Daytona 125, launched in 2009, have remained relevant and nearly unchanged to this day, opening the door to international expansion, especially in France, Belgium, and Italy. In 2012, the Bobber 125 and its 350 version revolutionised the market with their homologated rigid chassis for all of Europe. Other milestones included collaboration with the Piaggio group between 2013 and 2016 to assemble motorcycles in Mataró, and the 2017 launch of the Tracker 125. In 2020, Leonart introduced the Pilder 125, its flagship model: generous proportions, rebellious spirit, and direct heritage from the Spyder and Daytona. In 2022, the brand ventured into electric mobility with the Leonart Rigger, entirely designed by its team. More recently, in 2024, it expanded its catalogue with the sporty and accessible Pulse 125, aimed at young audiences, and the powerful Lobo 450, targeted at A2 license holders seeking an urban option with classic character and high performance.

Today, Leonart Motors is present in over 10 countries, including Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Japan. According to Jordi Llorens of Leonart Motors, "from the very first day we started this, we were clear that we wanted to make motorcycles for those seeking something different. Celebrating 20 years as an independent brand, with our own design and international presence, confirms that authenticity has a future."
