The Casal de la Festa in San Vicente gains momentum

San Vicente del Raspeig City Council is advancing in the transformation of the Casal de la Festa, a key building for the town's festive community, which is undergoing a comprehensive renovation to become a more accessible, modern, and energy-efficient space. The works are already 50% complete and are expected to finish by September, according to the project technicians.

Mayor Pachi Pascual and the Councillor for Festivities, Cristian Gil, visited the building on Wednesday to see the progress firsthand. Pascual highlighted the improvements in accessibility, which are particularly important for people with reduced mobility, who previously faced many difficulties moving around inside the building.

One of the main innovations is the installation of an elevator for the first time, as well as the opening of a new natural light entry point at the back of the building. This feature will significantly improve visibility on the stairs and the second floor.

Cristian Gil emphasized that the renovation retains the multipurpose room, now "more modern and functional," for meetings and events. The first and second floors are also being reorganized to provide new offices for the daily work of the town's various festive entities.

The intervention affects the building's 500 square meters, spread over three floors and the roof. The ground floor will remain a versatile space that retains the stage and moves the central staircase to the back of the building, thus freeing up the central area for better use.

On the upper floors, workspaces are being reorganized with a more efficient layout, designed to facilitate access, improve functionality, and reduce energy consumption.

The project is co-financed by the Alicante Provincial Council, which contributes 45% of the total cost through the Planifica plan.
