Carlos Alcaraz experienced a minor setback at the Australian Open. The Spaniard defeated Portugal's Nuno Borges (6-2, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2) to advance to the fourth round of the year's first Grand Slam. Alcaraz won the first two sets, but faltered in the third due to his opponent's precision and his own numerous unforced errors.

In the fourth set, Alcaraz regained his composure, breaking the Portuguese player's serve early to secure the set and the victory.
