The Eucharistic Congress Square in Elche will host the gala parade of candidates for Queens and Ladies of the Elche Festivities 2025 this Friday, for the second consecutive year. The event will commence at 9:00 PM and is open to the entire community of Elche.
The Councillor for Festivities, Inma Mora, has invited all residents of Elche to "attend this significant event to choose the new leading representatives of the festivities in Elche."
During the event, which until 2023 was held in the limited-capacity Courtyard of Arms at the Altamira Palace, 31 child and 30 adult candidates for Queens and Ladies of the Elche Festivities 2025 will parade before the eyes of all Elche residents. Afterwards, they will travel by city bus to the Huerto del Cura for the gala dinner, as reported by the Elche City Council.
The president of the adult jury will be the Councillor for Districts and Markets, Loli Serna, with the panel including M. Emilia Bermejo, Head of Protocol at Miguel Hernández University (UMH); Estefanía Parra, journalist from Telecinco; Marga García, Press Officer at Elche City Council; and Cristian Agulló, Communications Officer at the Misteri d'Elx Board.
Meanwhile, the president of the children's electoral jury will be the Councillor for Education, Disability, and Youth, María Bonmatí, accompanied by members Manuela Ángela Peral, director of CEFIRE; Carmeli Marco from the Protocol Department of Alicante City Council; Francisco del Pozo Montalbán, National Police Officer; and María José Toledo, manager of Aigües d'Elx.
On June 7th, the selection event for the Queens and Ladies of the Elche Festivities will take place at the Rotonda del Parque Municipal, and on July 5th, the proclamation will be held at the Plaza de Baix.
