El Campello repairs the wall of the iconic promenade at Carrer la Mar beach

El Campello's Department of Works and Maintenance, led by Rafa Galvañ, has contracted the company Macallames for 40,000 euros to carry out repairs, reinforcement, and painting of the wall of one of the most iconic and valued promenades by locals and visitors: the Carrer la Mar beach promenade.

The works will affect just over 1,300 linear meters of the wall, which in some sections shows broken slabs and peeling plaster due to the passage of time.

The company has deployed two teams of workers, who are already working in opposite directions: one began work on Tuesday from the southern tip of the promenade, and the other started today at the northern end, aiming to speed up the work and meet in the middle of the promenade.

According to Rafa Galvañ, these are repair works for the entire front, including cleaning, plastering, sanding, and painting in brown, as well as replacing 77 broken slabs or copings.

As the funds come from the municipal treasury surplus, the project must be fully completed before the end of the year.
