El Campello launches beach services for Easter

Workers from the Beaches and Tourist Infrastructure Department of El Campello City Council, led by Councillor Rafa Galvañ, began the installation of wooden walkways on Monday. These walkways are placed on the sand of the beaches of Muchavista and Carrer la Mar each year before the start of the Easter holidays.

Simultaneously, the inspection of foot showers has also commenced to ensure they are all operational at the start of the tourist season. The foot showers at Carrer la Mar beach are already functional, while those at Muchavista, maintained by the Generalitat, are undergoing repairs due to detected deficiencies. Currently, they are only operational in the southern half of the beach, but normal service is expected during Easter.

This year, the council has installed a handrail at entrance number 8 of Carrer la Mar beach, requested by older users for increased safety when descending the ramp, which posed a slipping risk due to sand accumulation.

Additionally, Rafa Galvañ announces that from April 12 to 21, the beach lifeguard and rescue service will be operational, resuming for the May Day holiday. From June 1, the service will be available continuously throughout the summer season.
