Miracle in an Alicante village, where the Local Police and Civil Protection have saved the life of an 83-year-old resident who had been trapped in his home for several days. The octogenarian had fallen in his bedroom and remained immobile, unable to call for help.
This was all made possible thanks to a call from Norway, specifically from the man's daughter, who alerted the police after several days of not being able to contact her father, also of Norwegian nationality and residing in Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
After the distress call, the Local Police and Civil Protection of the village went to the rescue of this man. They went to the octogenarian's house, trying repeatedly, without success, to knock on the door to get him to open it.
Seeing that no one was answering, the officers decided to intervene and enter the resident's home. They broke one of the upper floor windows and accessed it using a ladder. Inside, they saw an arm move next to the bed and found the resident immobile on the floor.
The man had an accident in his bedroom a few days ago and was left immobile on the floor, unable to get up and call for help. When the officers arrived, the octogenarian was "very frightened and injured."
The retiree was found next to the bed on the floor, bruised and unable to speak. The security forces carried out the rescue and thanks to this, they were able to save the life of this resident. A Basic Life Support ambulance arrived at the scene and transported him to Dénia Hospital, where he is currently recovering.
