The Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV) and Caixa Popular will reward the efforts and merits of companies that have stood out over the past year for their contribution to sustainable development.
Jointly, both entities have launched the '+ Sustainable, + Responsible' awards, which aim to recognize and highlight the efforts of those companies promoting a transformation towards a greener, more inclusive, and responsible economy.
As highlighted by CEV President Salvador Navarro, "companies in the Valencian Community are committed to the necessary transformation towards a more responsible and sustainable economy, and the effort and investments this entails deserve recognition from our side."
In the same vein, Caixa Popular's General Director Rosendo Ortí has stated that from the leading Valencian financial institution, "we want to support and value the Valencian business fabric and promote an economy that benefits both people and the environment, distinguishing companies that are leading the change towards a more sustainable and responsible economic model, so they serve as an example and reference on the path towards a fairer, more equitable society that respects the environment."
The '+ Sustainable, + Responsible' awards will consist of four categories: environmental sustainability, social sustainability, governance sustainability, and overall sustainability. Valencian companies can submit their candidacies until October 11th in one or two of the mentioned categories.
For evaluating submitted projects, priority will be given to initiatives that promote a sustainable ecological transition, boost aspects of the new circular economy or align with one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14).
The winners will be announced on October 29th at a celebration event held at CEV's headquarters.
