The Alicante Business Race returns for its third edition. After the success of the previous one, which saw 1,500 people and more than 150 companies participate, the business running event returns to the capital with new features.
The race, once again organized by NTT DATA along with the Alicante startup runrun, will take place on October 20 at 9:30 AM. The route will be located in the San Juan beach area, where the offices of the technology consultancy are situated.
As in previous years, the race will have two modalities: freelancers and open. The 'Companies' category must consist of a minimum of three members from each organization, and teams can be mixed. Additionally, all participants must cover the same distance. This edition introduces a new 5 km walking modality, while it will also feature two routes of five or ten kilometers.
For the "Freelancers" category, a single absolute modality is established for both men and women, as well as for the "Open" category aimed at the general public. Any company can participate as this race is open to all companies operating in any economic sector.
From the City Council, Sports Councilor Toni Gallego has encouraged everyone to participate and highlighted the importance of having the technology consultancy in Alicante, which "is undergoing a transformation process and we want to attract talent and companies."
NTT DATA has highlighted Alicante as a "strategic hub and unique location for sports." The company's director in the Community and Region of Murcia, Luis Puig, emphasized that the race "promotes key principles such as self-improvement, effort, or leadership, in addition to being a commitment to diversity and integration," and noted Alicante's role for the company.
