La Plaza Alicante Tour has received the Innovation Award in Destination Promotion from the Alicante Costa Blanca Association for Cruise Tourism in the second edition of these recognitions held at the Episcopal Palace of Orihuela.
The tourism association, led by Francesco Balbi, awarded seven prizes in different categories and two special recognitions. Regarding the virtual tour at the Alicante Bullring, they highlighted it as "an unforgettable experience for cruise tourists, thanks to rotating cubes with virtual reality glasses, allowing them to fly over the Alicante Bullring from a drone and explore its various spaces, experiencing bullfighting in the field and touring the pasture alongside a herd of brave bulls or visiting the Bullfighting Museum."

This virtual tour with augmented reality glasses was added to the Bullring's tourist offerings a year ago and has already been enjoyed by nearly 25,000 people, marking a significant public success.
Visits to the Alicante arena, concluding with the aforementioned virtual tour, are offered in six languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, and Polish. Among foreign nationalities, the largest group comes from Poland, with 4,621 visitors, followed by Germany with 2,979, the United Kingdom with 2,939, and France with 2,091 visitors. A total of 140 different nationalities have been recorded.
The award was collected by the Plaza's businessman Nacho Lloret and the director of ToroShoping, the Bullring's tourism management company, Pedro Gracia, at an event attended by the Councillor for Commerce, Lidia López.
