Britney Spears Marries Herself: "The Brightest Thing I've Done"

Britney Spears had been married three times before, and divorced as many times. Now, the singer has surprisingly announced her new wedding, which is with herself. This time, it is expected to last a lifetime. The pop star shared the big news with her followers in an Instagram post. In the image, she appears in a cream satin wedding dress with a veil on her head, accompanied by the text: "The day I married myself... I return to that moment because, although it may seem embarrassing or stupid, I think it's the brightest thing I've done."

The artist has not given more details about the big day, neither the date nor who accompanied her. She has continued to post about her daily life, dancing or relaxing by the pool, always in a bikini, as well as an illustration of a rose.

It has been over a year since Britney divorced her last husband, Sam Asghari, the Iranian-born personal trainer who had been by her side since 2016, although their marriage lasted only 14 months. She had been married twice before. Her first marriage, in January 2004 to her childhood friend Jason Alexander, lasted even less, only 55 hours. Her marriage to Kevin Federline, whom she married a few months later in September 2004, lasted a bit longer, two years.
