MG Borjamotor Opens New Dealership in Elche After Investing 12 Million Euros

With an initial investment exceeding six million euros in facilities, and another six million in machinery, IT systems, furniture, and inventory, the new MG Borjamotor Elche dealership was officially inaugurated, considered the most modern sales point for the brand in Spain.

This inauguration took place during a cocktail event at the new facilities, attended by over 200 guests, including Pablo Ruz, Mayor of Elche; Caridad Martinez, Councillor for Commerce; Miguel Molina, Sales Director of MG Spain, along with other brand executives and Manuel Torrecillas, CEO of MG Borjamotor.

The new MG Borjamotor Elche dealership features 3,000 square metres of facilities, including two 400 square metre showrooms, a 400 square metre mechanical workshop for bodywork and painting equipped with the latest technology. It also includes a covered warehouse of 600 square metres with capacity for 60 vehicles.

"This construction project was carried out with great enthusiasm and dedication, thanks to our wonderful team of professionals. From the outset, they have placed the province of Alicante at the forefront of MG vehicle sales nationwide, earning us several prestigious awards both nationally and internationally from MG," highlighted Torrecillas.

During the inauguration event of MG Borjamotor Elche, the new MGS5 EV was officially launched for the province of Alicante, the electric SUV that will undoubtedly be a star in this part of the country. The MGS5 EV is set to set the benchmark in the electric SUV segment, with prices starting from 20,990 euros.

The compact and high-performance electric propulsion system delivers a maximum power of 170 kW and a maximum torque of 350 Nm, offering high performance. Combined with a state-of-the-art battery system, with two options of 49 and 64 kWh capacity, the new MGS5 EV offers high ranges and fast charging speeds of 24 and 28 minutes, respectively.

In 2024, MG achieved 30,786 vehicle registrations across Spain. The brand is confident that in 2025 it will exceed 40,000 units, demonstrating the trust that customers place in the quality, design, and value of the vehicles.
