Las Hogueras de San Juan have raised the cold temperature of Paris. It wasn't with a 'cremà' or a 'mascletà'. In this case, the city's official festivities have been perfect ambassadors for Alicante as the Gastronomic Capital of Spain 2025 and have cooked a rice with chicken and chickpeas in the heart of the French capital.
The Bonfires of Alicante have promoted the city on the occasion of the exaltation of the major falleras of the Casa de Valencia in Paris. The 'belleas del foc', Alba Muñoz and Martina Lloret, and the president of the Federation, David Olivares, attended the event.
The trip also served to "show Parisians what the Fogueres de Sant Joan are and how they can enjoy them," highlighted Olivares. To this end, Alba Muñoz and Martina Lloret visited the Trocadero square, in front of the Eiffel Tower, to promote the festivities.
For the discerning French palates, in addition to showcasing the attire and essence of the city's official festivities through its ambassadors, the gastronomic experience "is sure to attract the attention of thousands of curious onlookers," assured Olivares.
The official agenda of the Bonfires of Alicante in Paris will continue with the exaltation of the major falleras and the children's president of the Casa Regional de Valencia in Paris, which will take place this Saturday afternoon in the town hall's auditorium, located in the 19th district.
The day will feature traditional cultural shows from the region, which "enhance the beauty and splendour of our festivities," as stated in the programme.
