Boat with 20 Migrants Intercepted off Alicante Coast

Maritime Rescue has intercepted a boat with 20 migrants on board in the waters off Alicante. The rescue team found the precarious vessel at sea and transported the individuals on board to Alicante Port, according to the Red Cross.

The Red Cross has activated the Immediate Response Teams for Humanitarian Assistance to Immigrants on the Coast (ERIE AHIC). Volunteers from the NGO are currently providing socio-health support to the migrants transferred to the Alicante port.
