Bitzmatch, the 'First Dates' for Companies Seeking Technological Partners

Bizmatch is a networking model that operates like 'First Dates', directly connecting companies associated with the Confederación Empresarial de la Comunitat Valenciana (CEV) with firms linked to the scientific parks of the Valencian Community. The Hotel Huerto del Cura in Elche hosted the first edition of this innovative business meeting this morning.

The aim: to generate real synergies, identify common needs, foster business opportunities, and promote strategic collaborations across different sectors and business profiles.

As Joaquín Pérez, president of CEV Alicante, stated, "Bizmatch is a useful tool for promoting collaborative innovation and business development locally. We aim to create spaces where companies can speak openly, share concerns, and combine capabilities."

The event featured participation from over 60 companies from diverse sectors: technology, biotechnology, digital health, sustainability and blue economy, industry, tourism, construction, energy, communication, legaltech, sustainable fashion, and cybersecurity.

"The richness of this meeting lies in bringing together technology-based firms, traditional companies, industrial SMEs, specialised offices, and startups in one space, allowing for the discovery of unimaginable opportunities in other contexts," said Joaquín Pérez.

Meanwhile, Esteban Pelayo, director of the Alicante Scientific Park, emphasised that "this activity aligns perfectly with our mission to bring park companies closer to real collaboration opportunities. We want to foster an environment where connections translate into projects, agreements, or shared ideas that generate value."

Similarly, Sergio Román, director of the Financing and Business Development Area of the UMH Scientific Park, highlighted that such initiatives "reinforce our commitment to turning the province of Alicante into an innovation hub, promoting collaboration between young tech companies and established firms."
