Ten months after the birth of the seventh child of Bertín Osborne, the first for his mother, Gabriela Guillén, the singer has confirmed to the magazine Diez Minutos that he will not undergo paternity tests. "What is the point of going to court to do something that I have already acknowledged?" he asked.

In this regard, he stated that "the purpose of a paternity test is to know if the child is yours or not," something he has already assumed, making it public through a statement. "According to the law, if I do not go, they assign it to me, but I have already assigned it to myself," he recalled. Bertín explained that he does not want the child to hear comments that question his mother's credibility: "Regardless of whether I see him, do not see him, treat him, care for him, whatever, he will go to school and you know how children are." Thus, to prevent the possibility of a classmate saying "they did not trust your mother, they had to do the test," he has decided not to undergo it.

Bertín made these statements shortly after having lost his father, who passed away on October 18, amid reports about the inheritance the singer will receive, which includes a noble title. Thus, the ranchera singer will be the next Count of Donadío as he is the only male child among four siblings.
