Bentley announced today the extension of its future strategy Beyond100 from 2030 to 2035. Now called Beyond100+, it represents a reinvention of industrial processes in Crewe and helps secure Bentley's future in Crewe for the next generation of its luxury vehicles.

After venturing into larger segments, the brand is turning towards more compact silhouettes and confirmed that its first electric car, to be unveiled in 2026, will be a luxury urban SUV, which they consider will be the first of its kind.

This model, designed and manufactured at its headquarters, will be the first of a low-emission product offensive that will arrive with a new electric or plug-in hybrid each year over the next decade. The goal is to exclusively manufacture zero-emission vehicles by 2035.

Bentley will further consolidate its commitment to hybrid technologies by extending the lifecycle of plug-in models until 2035. Additionally, the Continental GT coupe, convertible, and Flying Spur models are now offered with a plug-in hybrid V8 propulsion system, following the cessation of the iconic W12 engine production after more than 20 years.

"Almost four years after Bentley outlined its Beyond 100 strategy, we are adapting to the current economic, market, and legislative environment to embark on a significant transformation phase for the future. We maintain our goal of a decarbonized future, including the exclusive offering of fully electric cars from 2035, and reinforce our credentials as a British creator of extraordinary cars for over a century," stated the CEO of the manufacturer, Frank-Steffen Walliser.

The company has already made considerable progress in reshaping its historic Crewe facilities, creating a center certified as carbon neutral, and is now focusing on building a new factory for a fully electric future.

The largest self-funded investment program in Bentley's history continues with a new design center, a paint shop, and an electric vehicle assembly line, transforming an 85-year-old factory into a new era of electrification.
