Benitatxell Receives 25,490 Euros for Sustainable Forest Management and Reforestation

The Town Hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has received a grant of 25,490 euros from the Regional Ministry of Environment, Infrastructure, and Territory to implement sustainable forest management measures within the framework of rural development in the Valencian Community.

This funding will be allocated to thinning pine forests, selective clearing, pruning, and forest reforestation. In particular, the dry pines affected by severe drought will be removed and reforestation will be carried out with holm oaks, olive trees, and carob trees.

The activities will take place over a 100,000 m² area on municipal forest lands located in the pine forests of Poble Alcassar, La Joya, and Calistros.
