Benidorm Local Police Report: "While You Were Sleeping" an Electric Car Caught Fire

Benidorm Local Police, alongside the city's Fire Brigade, intervened in the fire of an electric vehicle. The incident took place on Beniardà Avenue during the night of Thursday, "while you were sleeping," they report.

The units arrived at the scene where the vehicle started to burn, and with the help of the Benidorm Fire Brigade, moved it to a "safe location".

These types of vehicles have a different protocol in case of fire. Benidorm Local Police warn of the possibility of explosions in electric cars.

Therefore, they activated their plan to move the burning vehicle to a "safe" area to prevent any risk of explosion. Residents in the area were surprised by the operation.

"Five in the morning on Beniardà Avenue and there's only a cleaning vehicle," comments Path. This Bilbao native living in Benidorm acknowledges that the actions of the Police and Firefighters during the fire "did not bother anyone," appreciating their efforts to protect the citizens.

Benidorm Local Police remind residents that "you can keep sleeping peacefully," as was the case in this operation. They also explain that if another electric vehicle catches fire, the public should alert the authorities by calling 092 or 112.
