Benidorm City Council has launched an online platform to manage access authorisations for the Low Emission Zone (ZBE). Integrated into the municipal website, the tool allows residents to register and familiarise themselves with the system from any internet-connected device.

As a trial, it is now possible to process the necessary permits to drive through the regulated areas of the city designated as ZBE. It is important to note that Benidorm's ZBE is in an informative phase until June 2025.

The Councillor for Mobility, Francis Muñoz, highlighted that "this digital platform is designed to make the management of permits swift, intuitive, and accessible for all residents. Additionally, it will provide key information about the ZBE, such as the locations it comprises and the status of submitted applications, among other details."

An Intuitive and Functional Platform

Through the platform, users can easily register with their ID, name, and email address, subsequently accessing their personal area.

Within this area, it is possible to check if a specific address is within the ZBE with a simple search. Likewise, residents can verify their vehicle's environmental label by entering the registration number and apply for the corresponding permits, such as those for registered residents, property owners with garages, or for service provision with cars and motorcycles, among others.

Moreover, the platform offers real-time access to the status of each application, allowing for efficient tracking of procedures. Periodically, functionalities will be updated to enhance user experience and expand its capabilities.

Adaptation Period

In the coming months, residents will be able to familiarise themselves with the platform and resolve queries through the Citizen Service Office, located on the ground floor of the Town Hall. They can also contact by phone at 605 694 942 or via email at zbe@benidorm.org.

To facilitate the process, the City Council has produced an instructional video explaining how to register and manage permits easily.

"The goal is for citizens to have all the necessary tools to adapt to this regulation and for the implementation of the ZBE in Benidorm to be a smooth and effective process," stated Francis Muñoz. By June, the use of the platform will be normalised so that residents can conduct real permit application trials.

Esta funcionalidad es exclusiva para registrados.
