The New Belleas del Foc of Alicante to Debut with a Mascletà on Sunday

The weekend's festive agenda continues to fill up with events. Not only are the elections of the belleas del foc, both adult and child, and their dames d'honor taking place, but a mascletà has also been added as the first official act - related to gunpowder - for the new representatives.

The San Blas bonfire has organised a new mascletà scheduled for this Sunday, 4th May, in the district. The display, conducted by the Hermanos Sirvent Pyrotechnics, will commemorate their 95th anniversary, celebrated this 2025.

The display will take place this Sunday at 2 PM on the newly reopened Antonio Martín Trenco street, near the Joaquín Sorolla public school. It is there that the belleas of the San Blas bonfire will announce the display alongside the newly elected belleas del foc of Alicante, in this first official act.

Additionally, as a prelude, the San Blas bonfire has organised a popular lunch starting at 12 PM in the parking lot of the new San Blas square, opposite the neighbourhood church. The day will feature raffles and gifts for attendees.

Martina Lloret Rocamora and Alba Muñoz Navarro are finalising their reign as belleas del foc of Alicante. The festivals from which their successors, and also their dames d'honor, will be chosen, will be held this weekend at the city's bullring.

The children's show is themed 'Escola de foc' and will take place this Friday, 2nd May, at 9 PM in the bullring. Meanwhile, the election of the bellea del foc is titled 'Som' and will begin at 9 PM on Saturday, 3rd May.

The pyrotechnic calendar of the Alicante Bonfires will continue next weekend with a night-time mascletà in the Alacant Golf district. The show is scheduled for 11:59 PM on Saturday, 10th May, at the intersection of Britania Street with Escultor José Guitérrez.

As a prelude, on the same day, there will be a popular night-time lunch on Balseta Street, organised by the Plaza de Santa María and Puente Villavieja bonfires. It will be held from 7 PM on Balseta Street.

The following day, Sunday, 11th May, the 'Pòlvora tot l'any' cycle will hold a new mascletà in sector seven at 2 PM. The pyrotechnic show will be launched in the ADDA parking lot.
