Belén Rodríguez has given her most bitter interview. The journalist and television collaborator has revealed in 'Semana' magazine that she is suffering from throat cancer. She recounted, "I knew something was wrong," although she was initially reluctant to see a doctor. "This summer, I started coughing periodically and my throat began to hurt. I had a coughing and sneezing fit that lasted several weeks. That's when I became aware that something was wrong," she commented. It was her gynecologist who, during a check-up, advised her to see an ENT specialist for tests.
After visiting the specialist, the diagnosis arrived: "They tell me that what I have is a malignant tumor and that I need to undergo all the tests," she stated. A harsh blow for the journalist, who is temporarily stepping away from television for treatment, although she is clear about how she intends to face it: "I have a lump that I hope they will remove," she said, adding, "I don't want to go from doctor to doctor and from chemo to chemo. I insist. I've already lived, I'm 57 years old. I've lived enough. Very good things and I've also gone through the negative things that a person can go through." "I will do what is humanly within my power," she concluded.
