Opel has launched the updated version of its compact SUV, the Mokka 2025, in Spain. The new model arrives with significant updates both under the hood and in its design, aiming to strengthen its position in a highly competitive segment.

The model is now available with a starting price of 23,850 euros for combustion versions, while the fully electric variant starts at 35,100 euros.

Externally, the changes in the Mokka 2025 are subtle but reflect an evolution in the brand's aesthetics. The main visual change is seen in the upper cooling intake of the front bumper, which now adopts a trapezoidal shape with the longer side at the top, differentiating it from the previous version. Additionally, the Opel logo has been updated.

Mechanically, the Mokka 2025 introduces two variants of the 1.2T petrol engine with 136 HP: one with mild hybridization and automatic transmission, and another without this technology, paired with a manual transmission. The price difference between the two options is 2,500 euros, allowing consumers to choose between the additional efficiency of the ECO label or the more accessible option with the C label.

The electric version also receives updates, maintaining its 156 HP power, although its certified range is slightly adjusted to 403 kilometers (compared to the previous 408 km).

The Mokka Electric version is the one we have thoroughly tested, noting substantial improvements in the car's range and performance. This model not only stands out for its avant-garde design but also positions itself as a very attractive option for those seeking a functional, efficient electric vehicle with a strong urban character, ideal for daily use and weekend getaways.

One of the main novelties of the Mokka Electric is its powertrain. It features a more powerful 115 kW (156 HP) electric motor, offering agile and dynamic response in any driving situation. Paired with a 54 kWh battery, this compact SUV achieves an impressive range of up to 406 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, representing a significant improvement over its predecessor and alleviating much of the "range anxiety" for most users. Additionally, its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 9 seconds ensures a lively driving experience.

Aesthetically, the Mokka Electric maintains its distinctive personality, with a bold and refined design. At the front, the characteristic Opel Vizor stands out, elegantly integrating the grille, LED headlights, and the brand's logo into a single futuristic piece. Its compact proportions and muscular lines give it a robust and athletic presence, while the option to choose a contrasting roof adds a touch of personalization and modernity that sets it apart in the small SUV segment.

The interior of the Mokka Electric extends its minimalist and technological design philosophy. The cabin is dominated by the Pure Panel, an advanced digital interface composed of two large screens that visually merge to offer clear and customizable information to the driver, minimizing distraction. Connectivity is comprehensive, with intuitive infotainment systems, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wide range of driving assistants that enhance safety and comfort on every journey.

In terms of practicality and versatility, the Opel Mokka Electric adapts to various needs. Despite its compact dimensions, it offers a well-utilized interior space for its occupants, as well as a trunk with adequate capacity for daily use and small getaway luggage. Its eCMP platform, shared with other electric models from the Stellantis group, ensures an efficient architecture that optimizes habitability and dynamic behavior.

With this update, the Opel Mokka Electric not only reinforces its position as one of Opel's electrification pillars but also consolidates itself as a reference option in the competitive segment of compact electric SUVs. Its combination of greater range, optimized performance, attractive design, and advanced technology makes it a solid proposal for consumers looking to transition to electric mobility with style and confidence.
