Barcelona announced on Thursday that it is extending the season pass for the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium until the end of the season. This suggests that the return to Spotify Camp Nou will not occur until the next campaign, although this possibility has not been definitively ruled out officially. The Catalan club has sent an email to season ticket holders at Montjuic to inform them that they can extend their subscription until the current campaign concludes.
"We announce the extension of the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium pass 24-25 with the matches of the men's first football team in the League and UEFA Champions League competitions until the end of the season. If you wish to extend the pass you already acquired for these new matches, you can do so with the following link," states the email sent by Barça to season ticket holders at Montjuic.
This is the notification to the members, although Barça has not yet ruled out the possibility of returning to Spotify Camp Nou for the final matches of the season. Sources from the Catalan club indicate that the schedule for returning to the stadium is subject to a series of unforeseen circumstances and that the dates made public are those indicated by the planning.
Barça also acknowledged that there were difficulties with the availability of materials and skilled labor to expedite the renovation of Spotify Camp Nou, while weather events have also affected the planned development of the works in recent months.
All these situations have caused delays in the works at Spotify Camp Nou, and the measure the club has decided to take is to extend the season pass at Montjuic. However, they have not yet closed the door on a return to the stadium this season. Above all, Barça would have liked to have its renovated venue ready to fill it in a potential Champions League semi-final.
