Barcelona has resorted to an unprecedented approach regarding the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. The club had secured two agreements for the sale of VIP boxes at Camp Nou, which were expected to generate 100 million euros. This amount would have allowed the team to register both players and comply with the 1:1 rule for signings. However, LaLiga has not approved this measure, arguing that the agreements lack full payment guarantees.
In this situation, where the club was asked to provide such guarantees, Barcelona has only been able to certify the income from one of them. Therefore, LaLiga has not yet given the green light for these registrations. In response to this setback, the club's next step is to request new licenses for the two players from the Federation.
The decision now lies with the Federation, which must make a statement on the matter, as well as LaLiga, which is responsible for processing the registrations. Additionally, Barcelona has denied one of the circulating rumours: that they had requested a three-day moratorium to submit further documentation.
