Barcelona is making its last attempt to ensure Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor can participate in the Spanish Super Cup. The Catalan club requested an urgent injunction from the Superior Sports Council (CSD) on Tuesday, hoping both players will be available for Hansi Flick in Wednesday's semi-final against Athletic Club, and potentially in the final if they advance past the Basque team.

Both Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor travelled to Saudi Arabia with the rest of the Barcelona squad, despite the Monitoring Committee of the LaLiga-RFEF Coordination Agreement rejecting the club's request last Saturday to re-register both players. This decision came after LaLiga removed them from the competition on January 1st, arguing that the documentation provided by Barcelona regarding income from the sale of VIP boxes at the future Camp Nou, which allowed the club to comply with the 1-1 financial fair play rule, did not meet the established deadlines.
However, Barcelona remains steadfast and clings to a final chance for Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor to participate in the Spanish Super Cup. Laporta remains optimistic after the club appealed to the CSD on Tuesday, hoping for a favourable decision in the coming hours that would allow both players to be available for Hansi Flick in Jeddah. The choice to request an urgent injunction instead of a regular one is due to the former being sought in cases of special urgency, offering a much quicker resolution without needing to hear arguments from LaLiga and the FEF.
