Barcelona is optimistic that a favourable resolution will be reached this Friday in the 'Olmo case', which has significantly impacted the club's reputation. The club is hopeful that LaLiga will finally approve the re-registration of the international player, as well as Pau Víctor, following the validation of the commercial rights for the future VIP boxes at Camp Nou. On Thursday, Barça's President Joan Laporta, Vice President of Sports Rafa Yuste, Treasurer Ferran Olivé, and Football Director Joan Soler held a summit to address Dani Olmo's situation, setting a self-imposed deadline for this Friday, even before Hansi Flick's press conference scheduled for 1:00 PM, ahead of the Copa match against Barbastro.
The Catalan club states that the agreement for the commercialisation of the Camp Nou VIP seats is already validated, but the holiday season has delayed normal financial market operations. LaLiga is expected to receive payment guarantees this Friday to comply with the financial 'fair play' required by the league. The significant financial gain of 100 million euros would allow Barça to meet the 1-1 rule in the winter market and fulfil LaLiga's requirements, which removed the two players from its official page on January 1st.
Should Dani Olmo not be registered, neither with Barça nor any other club on loan for the remainder of the season, the top scorer of the Euro Cup won by Spain would be unable to represent the national team. However, the club, led by Laporta, urges the player to remain calm, as they foresee an imminent solution. Meanwhile, Dani Olmo resumed training with the group on Thursday, hoping to play in Barça's Copa debut on Saturday.
